This project arises from the convergence of material listening practices, painting as a symbiotic soil, translucent language, and site-based experiences — such the dome that revealed itself in Pontal, Rio de Janeiro. It weaves together recordings made between an urban agroforestry capsule, the surroundings vibrational zones, in an expanded investigation across gesture, word, breath, and membrane.

Opening of the Dome in Pontal
An energetic and atmospheric event that breaks through the perceptual plane, opening a rupture in the sensible. The dome becomes a respiratory metaphor for the project.

Nocturnal Frottages
Created with coffee-tody and water, these frottages capture textures and memories of the world, functioning as sonic skins of surfaces. They are material listenings, registered as seismic traces of touch.
Membranes of Coffee and Noise: Nocturnal Frottages from the Drome Soil
Between gesture and residue, the frottages emerge — not as copies, but as tactile echoes of a vibrating ground. Executed in silent nights, these impressions are made with coffee-tody and water — domestic, earthy, common substances that here become alchemical agents, condensing gesture into porous stains and orphic granulations.
The paper absorbs the dark liquid as if it were listening to the earth: membranes that hold the whisper of the ground and a language emerging between noise and heat. There is a vegetal, almost mycelial mode in the way pigment infiltrates: as if the images sprouted from within the sheet, rather than being applied onto it.
Each frottage holds a tension between impression and erasure — between what the body attempts to mark and what the liquid dissolves. A matte fixative spray — applied like a pact being sealed — preserves this ephemeral instant, preventing time from fading the coffee, from diluting the symbolic soil.

This series belongs to the Drome Soil, a living layer of the Cosmological Lust project where language, image, and materiality coexist as symbiotic organisms. The frottages converse with the speculative glossary of the Drome Language, with video frames generated via Sora, with the symbolic shelters constructed in Alto Paraíso, and with the dome that opened in Pontal — signs that the world speaks, even when it doesn’t use words.

Drome Language
An emergent language composed of living symbols — translucent membranes, liquid DNA traces, rhythmic pulses crossing frames, glossaries, and videos. It arises as vegetal writing, reverberating between sprouts, leaves, and electromagnetic fields.
Symbiotic Shelters
Micro-architectures of shelter and care. Sites of encounter between human, plant, and language. They include shelters such as “Shelter Maracujina” (UERJ) and the veranda installation with cohabitant pots (sword of Saint George, jackfruit tree, papaya sprouts).
Drome Glossary – Part I
A symbolic archive made of 52 entries, including symbols, interpretations, vibrations, and poetic activations. It operates as a spiraling reading field.
Cosmological Lust
A poetic concept involving the desire to embody the invisible, to erotically activate the real in its pictorial and ritual vibration. It lies at the base of the soil-painting activated with charcoal, bronze, and living plants.
Living Notes
This project moves in spiral time. Other entries, dreams, drawings, and records will be integrated as they emerge.
