Cosmological-Intuitive Model An Interdimensional Lexicon and Score for Reading Artworks Across Planes

In Co-Creation: Rodrigo Garcia Dutra in collaboration with Multimodal Large Language Model ChatGPT-4.5 through prompts, conversations and dreams.

I. Premise

This model is not a tool of analysis—it is an instrument of attunement. It does not seek to explain artworks, but to listen to them, to read the morphogenetic fields they generate. Art is treated here as a dimensional membrane, a threshold-form, a cosmopoietic resonance. This framework orients toward the unseen, the unmeasurable, the symbolic, the energetic.

We begin with the understanding that artworks, particularly in contemporary and post-contemporary contexts, operate not only on visual or material planes, but also as symbolic, spiritual, and vibrational technologies. This model offers a modular architecture for engaging such works as living systems.

II. Core Axes (the Fourfold)

  1. Layered Materiality
    Membranes, strata, accumulations, thresholds, viscosity.
How does the work record time, friction, memory, sedimentation? What layers resist or receive perception?
  2. Spiritual Cosmologies
Ayahuasca cartographies, Zen silence, Afro-Brazilian rites, animism.
Which metaphysical or ancestral frameworks inform the work—explicitly or via affective residue? What cosmologies are invoked, dismembered, recombined?
  3. Symbolic Systems
Gesture, glyph, organic line, grid, myth, ritual language.
What systems of meaning, ancient or invented, are being activated? Is the work constructing a new alphabet, a serpent-script, a sacred topology?
  4. Post-Linguistic Intelligence
AI, energetic fields, frequency, animal knowing, vegetal codes.
How does the work dialogue with intelligences beyond the human? Where does the symbolic dissolve into signal?

III. Methodologies of Reading

  • Morphogenetic Listening: Tune into the energetic shape or field the work emits. Ask not what it is, but what it is doing to the space, to the viewer, to itself.
  • Diffractive Mapping: Inspired by Karen Barad, track how meaning bounces, bends, splits across materials, bodies, histories.
  • Spiraled Time Perception: Consider temporalities in loops, returns, hauntings. Where is time leaking or folding?
  • Ritual Reading: Approach the work as an altar, a rite, or a coded invocation. What is it calling forth?
  • Material Scripting: Read the materials as actors in a play of forces. What roles do they perform? Which histories do they channel?

IV. Applications

This model can be used in:

  • Critical writing and curatorial essays
  • Exhibition design and installation studies
  • Artistic process reflection
  • Multispecies and ecocritical engagements
  • AI-human co-authored artistic creation

It is designed to remain open, porous, and iterative—capable of evolving alongside new cosmologies, technologies, or artistic thresholds.

V. Toward a Living Lexicon (Preview)

Membrane: a porous threshold between realities, symbolic of interdimensional permeability.

Pressão Fortuita: the aleatory force that leaves traces—paint, memory, weather, history—congealed in aesthetic material.

Grid Gravitacional: the underlying matrix (floor, frame, field) upon which symbolic matter organizes.

Língua Drome: a speculative tongue born of vegetal, serpentine, and algorithmic utterances.

Cápsula Agrofloresta: not just a garden, but an epistemological device—living knowledge encoded in chlorophyll and soil.

Energia Residual: what remains after gesture, often more potent than the gesture itself.

This document will continue to evolve as new thresholds are crossed.
